dǎ cǎo jīng shé【典故】 原比喻惩甲菟乙。 后多比喻做法不谨慎， 反使对方有所戒备。【出处】 明·郎瑛《七修类稿》卷二十四： “打草惊蛇， 乃南唐王鲁为当涂令， 日营资产， 部人诉主簿贪污， 鲁曰： ‘汝虽打草， 吾已惊蛇。’”
